信号源是用于测量研究的主要仪器。随着科学技术的发展,信号源的应用也将更加广泛。在现代工业生产和科学研究领域中,由于数据传输速率要求的提高,对高精确、多功能信号源的研究越来越重要。因此提出了基于直接数字频率合成(DDS)原理的信号源理论,与传统的信号发生器相比,它具有许多优点。DDS是近些年发展迅速的一种新型频率合成技术,并且应用在很多领域中。这种信号源具有灵活性且易控制。使用者可以通过选择不同的控制模式得到所需的信号。本设计采用EDA技术,使用VHDL进行编程,并将FPGA器件作为其核心。设计中给出了它的工作原理、设计方法和全部代码。采用FPGA设计的信号发生器,不仅可方便地实现各种比较复杂的调频、调相和调幅功能,而且具有良好的实用性。

Title The Design of Multifunctional Signal Generator Based on FPGA
Abstract
Signal generator is an essential machine for measurement and research. Along with the development of science and technology, the use of signal generator in measurement and research becomes more and more aboard. As the requirement of data transmission increase in the modern industry produces and science research, the high precision and multifunctional of signal generator is becoming more and more important. Signal generator based on the principles of DDS is proposed, as it has a number of advantages compared with the traditional signal generator. DDS is a new way to synthesize frequency which is developing quickly these years, and is used in many fields. This kind of signal generator is flexible and controllable, then the user can get several linear frequency module (LFM) signals as needed through choosing different control modules. Applying EDA technology, taking FPGA as its core and using VHDL language design signal generator. The design gives its operating principles, design methods and all codes. Not only it is expediently to realize frequency, phase and amplitude modulation, but also it has well practicability.
